THE NATIONAL REUNION - WESTON-SUPER-MARE - 1986

Branch Reunion - Believed about 1956 - Greyhound Hotel, Bristol

This picture was believed to have been taken

in the 70’s when Father Christmas was

brought into the School grounds courtesy

of the Army Air Corps

A somewhat indistinct close-up of the

Father Christmas party.  Fred Ponsford

can be identified 2nd from the right,

Reg Tugwell is 3rd from the right.

Brigadier McNinch, A.A.C., heard of the Schools’s connection with the

Association  and started a fund raising project and subsequently donated

a motor caravan to the School adapted with ramps and hoist.

For a number of years the caravan was used as a mobile classroom for

housebound handicapped children and later to take disabled children

to the seaside.

Brigadier ?, AAC is seen here handing over the motor caravan to Cyril.

Sadly Brigadier McNinch was killed in a flying accident before he could

officially hand over the caravan.
