On Sunday 25th April 2004 (Anzac Day) veterans of 233 Squadron R.A.F, The Glider Pilot

Regiment and the WAAF Air Ambulance Orderlies attended a dedication ceremony at World

War 2 airfield Blakehill Farm for the unveiling of their memorial which now stands

alongside one dedicated to No. 437 Sqn., R.C.A.F. On the 25th September 1994.

The site is now a wildlife sanctuary administered by the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust

And it is hoped to be open to the public by 2005.

A Colonel from the Royal Canadian Air Force

lays a wreath at the Canadian Memorial stone.

Later in the ceremony a newly planted

Canadian maple tree (seen in the background)

was dedicated.
